Sharing the DEEPdt methodology and its mindsets have been at the core of my work since I began designing DEEPdt in May of 2010. Afterall at its inception, DEEP design thinking was created and designed for ALL Designers (PreK to Old :). When I began the DEEP design thinking website, the intention behind it was to be a resource for learners, a place for storytelling and insights around design thinking, and as an ongoing curation and documentation of my body of work as a design thinker and educator.   I am thankful to have DEEP design thinking utilized, practiced, and infused within organizations, schools, projects, and by individuals all over the world. When I left Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, I was proud to know that my creations, influence, methodology, and infusion of DEEP design thinking would continue in the environment that I called home for so long.  What educator has the chance to say, "Look, that school has adopted my methodology and approach to learning so steadfastly and earnestly they even have created pages on their website promoting my process. They continue to utilize the DEEPdt approach to make strategic, economical, and cultural decisions & impact throughout their PreK12 environment. They infuse this approach of learning into their everyday instructional practices... "

I am thankful for every day that I had the opportunity to work in an environment where innovation and creative thinking was encouraged and ideas were NOT taken away especially when a lonely ole teacher strikes gold on their idea and execution of said idea. I was blessed to call MVPS home for the last eight years and to be in such an environment.

In creating DEEP design thinking, I was reminded rather quickly by trusted colleagues to secure Creative Commons licenses for my ideas and body of work in all things DEEP design thinking and to also document this journey of creation as questions, claims, and possible rewriting of history could occur. Thankfully I have done both extensively and mindfully. Owning the DEEP design thinking website independently and outright from the very beginning is something I am very proud of doing. I appreciate the sage advice of my trusted colleagues.

I hope, expect, and trust that as we continue to learn and collaborate, we will iterate to improve the DEEPdt process and design while respecting and honoring the original Creative Commons license shown below (also found on every post and the bottom of this site).
